Mayoralty

The executive office of the Mayor of New York City, encompassing the Mayor's core staff and dozens of sub-offices including the Office of Management and Budget, Office of Criminal Justice, Office of Immigrant Affairs, Community Affairs Unit, and the newly created Office of Mass Engagement. The Mayoralty is where the buck stops for governing a city of 8.3 million people with a $116 billion budget and 325,000 employees. The Mayor appoints 40+ agency commissioners, sets budget priorities, and shapes policy on everything from policing to housing. The sub-offices within the Mayoralty coordinate cross-agency efforts that no single agency can handle alone.
