The city's internal operations agency -- it runs civil service exams, manages 55 public buildings, oversees the city's 30,000-vehicle fleet, and handles procurement of over $1 billion in goods and services for all city agencies. DCAS is the reason city government can function at all. If you've ever taken a civil service exam, entered a city building, or benefited from a city purchase, DCAS was behind it. They're also leading the city's push to electrify its vehicle fleet and cut emissions from government buildings.
